VersyTalks operates a credit-based marketplace for debate evaluations and coaching-related services. Because marketplace services involve coach time, personalized review, and limited platform capacity, VersyTalks generally resolves service issues through the return or reissuance of credits rather than monetary refunds.
By purchasing credits or using marketplace services, users agree to the terms of this Refund and Credit Policy.
VersyTalks uses credits as the primary unit for accessing evaluations and other eligible marketplace services. Credits may be purchased and applied to supported services through the platform.
Unless otherwise stated by VersyTalks in writing or required by applicable law, credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are not redeemable for money.
As a general rule, VersyTalks does not provide monetary refunds for marketplace purchases or completed credit transactions. When an issue arises, the standard remedy is the return of the applicable credits to the user’s account so the user may submit again, choose another coach, or use the credits for another eligible VersyTalks Debate Marketplace service.
Monetary refunds are not the standard remedy and are only considered in limited circumstances, including billing errors, duplicate charges, major technical failures, or where required by applicable law.
Unused credits may remain in the user’s account for future use in accordance with the platform’s current marketplace rules. Except in cases expressly approved by VersyTalks or where required by applicable law, unused credits are not refundable in cash.
If VersyTalks determines that a marketplace issue prevented a user from reasonably using purchased credits, VersyTalks may, at its discretion, reissue, restore, or otherwise adjust the user’s credit balance.
Once a user submits an evaluation request and the request is accepted, assigned, or meaningfully started by a coach, the related credits are considered used.
After this point, the request is generally not eligible for a monetary refund. If a service issue occurs, VersyTalks may review the matter and, where appropriate, provide a credit-based remedy, including replacement credits, reassignment to another coach, or another reasonable marketplace solution.
If a coach becomes unavailable, fails to complete the service within the applicable platform conditions, or the request cannot be fulfilled as expected, VersyTalks may provide one or more of the following remedies:
Unless otherwise required by law, these remedies do not create an automatic right to a monetary refund.
If a user believes that an evaluation did not reasonably match the service purchased, the user must contact VersyTalks within 7 days of receiving the evaluation.
VersyTalks may review the request, the coach’s work, the original submission, and any related notes or self-assessments. If VersyTalks determines that a material service issue occurred, VersyTalks may, in its sole discretion, offer a marketplace remedy such as replacement credits, a follow-up review, reassignment, or another reasonable resolution.
Differences in coaching style, strategic disagreement, subjective preference, or dissatisfaction with the outcome of feedback alone do not automatically qualify for a refund or credit return.
Customized evaluations may involve tailored instructions, added review depth, or coach-specific preparation. Because these requests require more individualized work, once a customized evaluation has been accepted or started, it is generally not eligible for a monetary refund.
If a legitimate service issue arises with a customized evaluation, VersyTalks may offer a credit-based remedy or another appropriate marketplace solution.
If a user is charged more than once for the same transaction, or if a billing error occurs, the user should contact VersyTalks promptly.
In cases of verified duplicate charges, incorrect billing, or payment processing error, VersyTalks may issue a correction, restore credits, or provide a monetary refund where appropriate.
VersyTalks reserves the right to deny requests for credits, adjustments, or refunds where it reasonably determines that a user is abusing the platform, repeatedly making bad-faith claims, attempting to manipulate the refund process, or otherwise violating the platform’s terms or policies.
VersyTalks may update this Refund and Credit Policy from time to time. Any updates will apply from the effective date shown on the updated version. Continued use of the marketplace after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
